Start the Year Off Right!

StartImageMany individuals start the New Year looking to make some positive changes in their health.  The end of the year often makes us look at what is really important to us and our health is often found at the top of our list.  For good reason, without good health everything else on the list becomes less important.

There are many people in the Stirling area who are dedicated to helping improve the community with a variety of health and wellness products and services.  The Stirling Wellness Fair is bringing those people to you.  Come out and learn what is available to you right here in Stirling.  We live in a wonderful community and making it a healthier community is what we are all about.

What is Health and Wellness?

WomanQueryThe terms Health and Wellness mean a lot more than just living without pain.  Health and Wellness means that we are living a lifestyle that will maximize our function in life to its fullest.  It looks at not just how well our body moves and functions, but also our mind, our relationships with friends, families and neighbours, our emotional well being, and our sense of purpose and fulfillment in life.

This is very different from the mainstream government run medical system.  That system is primarily concerned with patching you up whFruitVeggieSmallen things have broken down a great deal.  The use of drugs and surgeries are effective when there is severe damage.  A Health and Wellness approach is geared towards not letting that damage occur in the first place.  For example, when you eat good nutritious food your body is able to build healthier cells.

There are many things you can do beside the use of drugs and surgeries to reverse health damage and there are even more things that can be done to prevent that damage from ever happening in the first place.

CouplePushupOur body, mind and spirit all need to be addressed if we want to maximize our health.  Exercise and nutrition are very important for the body.  We all want to exercise enough and eat well.  In today's world there are many distractions and so much information it makes it hard to keep on track.  Getting some help is becoming more and more important.  The types of foods we put in our body and the different products we put on our body all contribute to our overall health and wellness.  A little help in learning how to make better choices can go a long way in making us more alive.

The stressors of life are impossible to avoid and they are building up in our body.  The stress of the toxins in our environment, the economic strains, and the constantly increasing pace of life, build up in our body and erode our health from the inside out.  We all need assistance to prevent this accumulation of stress from causing permanent damage.  There are many options available to you and the sooner you start the healing process the better.
